Green Book of South Carolina

Challenge

In 2017, the S.C. African American Heritage Commission birthed the Green Book of South Carolina as the first-ever mobile travel guide to more than 300 African-American cultural sites and attractions across the state. The guide is a contemporary travel-planning tool that pays homage to the original Green Book, first published in 1936 by N.Y. postman Victor Green as a travel guide to black-friendly establishments across the United States. We were invited by project organizers at Flock and Rally and OTR Media Group to support the roll-out of the Green Book of South Carolina across social media.
